Polyuridine endonuclease

Degrades the 5'-polyuridines generated during Coronavirus replication of the poly(A) region of viral genomic and subgenomic RNAs . If not degraded, poly(U) RNA would hybridize with poly(A) RNA tails, activate host dsRNA sensors and trigger cell antiviral response. This activity is only found in vertebrate Nidovirus.
