Picorna-type NTPase/helicase

The "2C or Hel protein of picornavirales is an enzyme that plays a major role in viral replication. Its function is not clearly understood, it has been proposed to be a RNA chaperone (PMID: 23449794) possibly related to the IRES (The Structure, Function, and Mechanisms of Action of Enterovirus Non-structural Protein 2C). It has an ATPase activity and belongs to SF3 helicase family.
