Yadokariviridae (taxid:2946194)

Satellite virus: infection requires host cell to be co-infected with dsRNA virus

VIRION

image

Viral genome is trans-encapsidated by specific helper dsRNA viruses of order Ghabrivirales.

GENOME

image

Monopartite, linear, ssRNA(+) genome of 3.6 to 6.3 kb in size, encoding for 1 or 2 proteins. with or without a poly(A) tail.

GENE EXPRESSION

The virion RNA is infectious in the presence of their helper dsRNA viruses and serves as both the genome and viral messenger RNA. The genomic RNA (or genome segments) is translated into polyprotein subsequently processed by virus-encoded proteases into functional products.

ENZYMES

REPLICATION

Assumed to replicate inside the heterocapsids encoded by a dsRNA virus.
