RNA viruses of the phylum Duplornaviricota are characterized by homologous RNA-dependent-RNA polymerases (PFAM RdRp_4 or PFAM RdRp_5 families).
These viruses have linear double-stranded RNA genomes and characteristic major capsid proteins with BTV-like folding . The capsids are icosahedral with a symmetry of T=1 to T=13.
