Viral tail tube protein (kw:KW-1228)
Caudovirales bacterial viruses have a tail which is responsible for recognizing the target bacteria, perforating the cell wall, and delivering the viral into the host cytoplasm. Genome delivery occurs through a tubular structure connected to the capsid, the tail tube.
