Segmented negative-stranded RNA linear genome, RNA1 segment is about 6.5kb, RNA2 segment about 1.3kb Encodes for two proteins.
GENE EXPRESSION
Viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (L) binds to a promoter on each segment and transcribes a messenger RNA. Genomic RNA is possibly encapsidated by ORF2.
