Riboviria
Viruses from this realm are RNA virus encoding for an homologous RNA dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp). It comprises RNA viruses and reverse transcribing viruses. Seven different phyla are classified based on their RdRp homologies.
The seven different phyla can be associated with classification of protein families (PFAM). Reverse-transcribing viruses:
- Artverviricota (PFAM RTase_1 family)
- Duplornaviricota (PFAM RdRp_5 or PFAM RdRp_4 family families)
- Kitrinoviricota (PFAM RdRP_2 or PFAM RdRP_3 families)
- Lenarviricota (PFAM Levi or PFAM mitovirus families)
- Pisuviricota (Pfam RdRp_1 family)
- Negarnaviricota (PFAM mononega RdRp, PFAM Bunya RdRp or PFAM PB1 RdRp families)
- Ambiviricota (No PFAM)
